A Day on Oakes Farm

Sunday, October 5, 2014

We headed back for our annual adventures opening weekend at Oakes Farm.  Nothing screams Fall like a pumpkin patch and corn maze!  We hesitated to go as it had been raining all day, but by the time we made the 45 minute trek there, the skies had cleared, the temperatures cooled, and the sun shone.  It actually ended up being perfect weather!  Perfect for bouncing on the giant pillow, climbing the tractor tire pit, feeding the goats and petting the bunnies, swinging on the tire swings, mining for gold (Fools Gold that is!), running in the hamster wheels, exploring the corn mazes, and racing bikes around the track!  You are always guaranteed a good time at Oakes Farm and good times we had yet again this year!

His excitement for animals is out of this world! You can't hardly watch him around any kind of animal without smiling from ear to ear yourself!

One for the goat. One for Preston.
He would have stayed here feeding the goats the weeds all day if we let him.

These races were so much fun!  And actually way harder than it looks!  Especially holding a wiggly toddler at the same time!

From our little pumpkins to yours,
Happy Fall Y'all!
