anyone that graduates from an accredited physician assistant program is a "physician assistant". with this, you get a title and two letters (pa) behind your name and a big fat dead end.
it is the "c" that's key. you cannot get licensed or practice medicine without being certified and so it is the "pa-c" that everyone strives for.
