one more chapter complete

Thursday, December 17, 2009

As of 11:00AM yesterday, I closed the door to another chapter of my life, the didactic portion of my PA program.  Although it seems like just yesterday I was moving to TN and starting the program, the end couldn't have come any sooner.  I still have one year in the clinical setting to complete before I will be able to sit for the board exam and actually be a PA, but this is a HUGE milestone and no more classes!  Dad, Grandpa Kirk, Grandma Wallace, and John will be making their way here on Friday to help me celebrate and to attend the White Coat Ceremony on Saturday.  With snow and sleet in the forecast for the weekend, it only seems appropriate considering it has rained on every graduation.  I have accepted that as good luck!

To celebrate our glorious finale, a bunch of girls from my class came over to make gingerbread houses, bake Christmas goodies, drink hot cider (with a little celebratory addition), and watch The Holiday, one of my favorite movies of all time!  Here are the fabulous houses we made.  There will be more pictures with people to come.
